STREET DANCE

STREET DANCE

Street dance is nowadays synonymous with modern music and is featured in a lot of promotional videos and in live performances by hip-hop, R ‘n’ B and pop artists. It actually started as a dance style outside dance studios, on the streets, hence the name, in the US, with both the West Coast and the East Coast bringing their own flavours. There are a variety of different styles within street dance. Our street dance training aims to give our students a taster of these and help them develop their own unique style within the genre.
STREET DANCE and SINGING

SINGING

Who hasn’t spent time in front of a mirror with a hairbrush singing along to their favourite songs? Whether your young ones want to be the next Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran or even Adele, our singing training is the perfect opportunity to learn what it takes to be a great singer. In a fun and encouraging environment, your children will be taught singing technique and delivery and how to project their own personality into their performances. It doesn’t matter whether they are naturals or need to find their “voice”, we will help them every step of the way. From breathing exercises to pitch turning, we also aim for these lessons to be what all kids want in life, fun.
DRAMA

DRAMA

Children and teens are often noted for their adept acting skills, especially when they want to get out of chores and other things they don’t want to do. If you have young ones who have huge aspirations of becoming an acting star, then they will enjoy our drama training. They will experience the full spectrum of acting from dramatic and serious roles to fun and comedic roles encouraging their self-confidence and self-esteem.
musical theatre

MUSICAL THEATRE

The reason musical theatre has such an enduring appeal is that it has it all. There are acting and spoken word dialogue, big group songs and solo numbers along with some truly amazing dance choreography. Our musical theatre training gives your children a chance to dip their toes into it all. They will learn about stage presence, how to work as a team, in addition to perfecting dance moves, acting, dialogue delivery and singing. We particularly love the more modern side of musical theatre and we hope our enthusiasm for the stagecraft involved rubs off on our young wards.

live performances

LIVE PERFORMANCES

When the curtains go up, it’s showtime. At United Arts Academy we want to give our students the full experience. It’s not just classes and workshops. We bring everything we’ve been working on with our students to put on live performances throughout the year for all to come and enjoy. A lot of time and effort is involved in putting on these shows, but it’s worth it.This gives your children an opportunity to get their first taste of those opening night nerves and that rush of adrenaline as the crowd erupts into applause when their hard work, countless rehearsals and determination come together to deliver a roof-raising performance. It’s a great night for all of the family and it’s the perfect way for them to share the fruits of their labour.

west end workshops

WEST END WORKSHOPS

Many aspiring performers dream of seeing their name up in lights in London. And why shouldn’t they – aside from Broadway in the United States, West End is one of the most important locations in the world of theatre and stage performances. Our West End Workshops are taught by amazing industry professionals who come in and share their wealth of skills and knowledge that they have learnt along the way. Not only are these workshops extremely inspiring for all involved but they also bring a whole lot of fun.
